How much GESY is deducted from my salary?
2,65% of gross pay for employees, deducted alongside income tax and social insurance, with your employer contributing a further 2,9%. It applies to income up to €180.000 a year. On a €30.000 salary that is €795,00 a year — about €61,15 per payment on 13 salaries. Self-employed people pay 4%, pensioners 4% on their pension, and dividends carry 2,65% capped at €4.770 a year. GESY is deductible, but inside the Article 14 basket together with social insurance and any provident-fund contributions.
