How will my salary move on the Cyprus government pay scales (Α1–Α16)?
Government pay in Cyprus follows the published Α1–Α16 scales: one step (βαθμίδα) per year of service, promotion moves you to the next scale at the nearest higher step, and at the top of your final scale the salary plateaus. Appointments from 2012 also start with a reduced entry scale for the first 24 months.
